my 82 corvette crossfire is chokingout and sucking alot of air when i give it gas.?

the car will idle but when i give it gas it will cutout making a air sucking sound
i have replace the fuel filter and put new gas in it

Check for a vacuum leak at map sensor and all others in engine compartment.Have you checked diagnostic codes?
I s their one volt at the TPS middle wire with the throttle closed ,key on?If so,perfect.Check for power loss at TPS as throttle is opened slowly.Should go from 1 volt to about 4.5 volts uninterrupted.If it does not replace the TPS.
