My 2007 chevy cobalt ss supercharged has 215 45 18 tires on it, can i fit 205 55 18 or 205 55 17 on my rims? I am looking for something a little better in tread life and traction in the winter. I would like to get just some all season sport tires v or z rated. but I would not really prefer the low profile anymore. so I am looking for something cheaper and I heard that I could maybe fir some 205 55's on my stock rims. any ideas?

since you have 18 inch rims, the 205 55 17 wont fit because its for 17's and your car has 18's on it, if you need a tractiony or tready tire you'll have to find one in your size that is already on the car, the tires on there are most likely performance or all season performance, but no, the others will not fit, it MUST be the same size as whats on there. if you ca, try to find the tiger paw brand, they last about 75,000 but my dad got 90,000 out of his. so good luck to you and your cobalt, i hope this helps

Since you have an 18" wheel you obviously cant fit a 17" tire.
