motor swap!!

ok so i have a base model 07 lt 2.2 automatic but my motor just threw a rod i was wondering if i could get a 2.4 motor to directly bolt up to mounts and transmission any ideas? open to all suggestions

Are you referring to a 2.2 Ecotec engine and a 2.4 Ecotec engine? If so check a site like Advance Auto to see if they use the same mounts. You will also need the full engine wiring harness and computer.

yes i am talking about ecotecs the 2.2 is just so underpowered

For those of you wondering about this type of swap.....Avoid it......2.4 is a direct injected engine. Fuel directly injected into cylinder. 2.2 has fuel injected to back side of intake valve in the manifold. Very different ECM, wiring harness and fuel system. Big $ decision....
