i need more power. tell me what i should get. i already have:
-K&N cold air intake +10 hp
-jacobs electronics prostreet computer ignition +15 hp
-something else that has to do with the belt.. idk what it is

should i get it chipped?(got aftermarket cooling fans already)

i would also like to burn out the factory computer chip it has in it already..
give me some suggestions

Instead of modding the engine, look into changing the rear end gears first. I'm not sure what gears your truck has stock, but they are probably in the area of 2.73's to 3.08's. A switch to lower gears like 3.42's or 3.73's will make it much quicker.

The problem with making horsepower out of those pre-Vortec 350's is the heads. Those heads are designed for torque not horsepower. A stock 1992 5.7 is rated at 210hp and 300lb ft of torque. With all those mods, you're probably in the area of 220-225hp if you're talking about underdrive pulleys with the belt. You should also mod the exhaust. Headers will give the most power, but are more expensive also. A $500 cat-back dual exhaust system with glass packs will give you about 15 more horsepower and a mean sound. But that's all I would do to the engine without changing the internals.

you need an aftermarket exhaust like Flowmaster, your getting the extra air in with the K&N air intake and filter so you need to get the air out to, i have a 98 silverado 5.7L 350 with the K&N air intake kit and a TRUE dual flowmaster exhaust with an X pipe, i highly suggest a true dual flowmaster exhaust with an X pipe, going to let the breathe out better and get better acceleration, also it will sound bad a**

exhaust, port polish head, new cams, valve job, supercharger, nitrous!
