I am trying to surprise my husband. He and his father fixed up a 1953 Chevy Bel Air and I have the VIN# but not sure how to go about locating it.
After my husband's father passed, he had to sell it to help the family make ends meet so it would be a huge surprise if I were able to locate it. When he owned it he lived in Missouri and I have submitted an inquiry with the DMV of MO even though I know that is probably a long shot. I also checked with Mecum Auto Auction in case it had ever been sold through the auction, and by the way they were fantastic and super responsive in trying to help me with this, great company, but unfortunately it hadn't been sold through the auction!
Any advice on how I might go about tracking this down, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
