I have been noticing a knocking noise in the front end of my cobalt when I go over bumps or even pulling in to my driveway. Its seems only to be on the drivers side. What could this be? Some of the research I've done said that it may be the control arm bushings. If so, how much would this cost to replace?

Only after 3 years, that shouldn't be happening. It could be a bad ball joint or loose suspension bushing. Get after Mr Goodwrench for warranty repair. If you have no warranty, maybe it'll cost $100- that's just my guess.
