Is there a way to adjust when the cooling fan kicks on with a GM Tech2 on a Chevy...

...Cavalier? Once again trying to avoid reprogramming the PCM. Runs a little hot and would like to avoid hard wiring the fans! :]
 
Put a thermostat in the motor if it's running a little hot. If it's not the thermostat it's a plugged radiator.
The ECU gets it's info from the ECT sensor as to when to activate the radiator fans, check the ECT sensor cold and at operating temperatures. Check the cooling system temperature with a manual thermometer to check your dash gauge for accuracy. Make sure you purge all the air from the cooling system, have the heat set to high so the heater core does not trap air.
 
It's my understanding that the Tech2 is solely a diagnostic device. I am having the same problem with my 92 SAAB 9000CD, which is really GM.
