Is the 1997-2003 Chevrolet Malibu a good first car?

I was wondering if this would make a good first car? I am 19 and have 4,000.00 saved right now but i am also looking at the 1997-2001 Toyota Camry and the 1998-2002 Honda Accord.

I like the way all 3 of them look and the features they have and i prefer the 4 cylinder versions due to gas mileage.

I just want to make a smart buy and be happy with the car i choose and YES I KNOW i have to test drive them.

I just need to know which of these cars is the most reliable and satisfying???

Camrys are very reliable cars. Great gas mileage. Hondas are also good first cars. My mother inlaw had one and it ran forever. She now has a Camry and she loves it.
My advice to you is not to buy a used 2000-2004 Volkswagon Beetle. I have one and everything falls apart on it. Stick with a Nissan, Honda or Toyota. Good luck!
