their brand new Corvette? True story and a follow up question to the one on the Oakley sunglasses. Point being what about balance and all those who say about giving to the poor?

I have a friend with towing mirrors and a trailer hitch on her 'Vette: If that ain't a sin then you're good to go on the worry beads.

There are certainly Catholics out there that make quite a bit of money, just as there are rich Protestants and rich Atheists.

Just because she has a Corvette doesn't mean that she isn't giving to the poor. You don't have to be dirt poor and drive a piece of crap car just so you can give to the poor and not look like a hypocrite.

I have a 1995 Acura Integra that I hang a Rosary from the rear view mirror. My mother has a 2008 Lexus that she hangs a Rosary from the rear view mirror.

Do I donate to the poor? Yes, not as much as I would like to be able to, but yes.

Does my mother? Yes.

Do I volunteer at my church? Yes.

Does my mother? Yes.

I live in a little apartment and my mother lives in a three bedroom Dome House, but that doesn't mean that she isn't caring for the poor or for God's people.

My mother helps more than I do because she has more money than I do, but she still has a nice house and a nice car.

The Rosary is not a piece of jewelry or a decoration.

The Rosary is a tool that can be used by anyone in prayer.

The Rosary is rarely displayed. Some religious sisters in habits wear them.

If you choose to display a Rosary then remember to behave accordingly. Just like wearing a Cross or Crucifix, you are telling the world that you believe in and are trying to live the Gospel message.

I would be very sad to have a rosary in your car and never use it in prayer.

With love in Christ.

No. Why would it be?

And because someone makes a lot of money and has nice things doesn't mean they are sinning. As long as they are still caring for others and loving God then there is no sin. Unless they put their own belongings before God and others.
