i just bought a 1992 chevy silverado that i will part out on ebay. it has a 350 in it that i plan on rebuilding. if im not mistaking 92 is within the years that chevy had this style body style for a number of years. my question is this weater im selling parts or buying parts what is the best resourse to find out interchangeable parts. example will this 92 bumper fit on a 93 for selling purposes or if i want to buy alm cyl heads for the motor can i buy some 91 style heads.

Interchanging parts is sometimes a risky business, but it can be done with experience, or if not, then with some time and attention to detail.
Try this. LMC TRucks has an online parts catalog for all older Chevy trucks. I use them for all my 88 Suburban parts. If you check it out, you can compare their part numbers between years, and it should let you know which ones have the same parts and can be swapped.
Also, look online for an interchange library. I want to say I've run across one, but it cost BIG money for access. Also, consult your local parts yard. They DO have access to that library and know which parts are generally interchangable.
Good luck!
