OK I have a 78 nova base I was having blinker issues which later to be in the 194 bulbs were bad on the cluster swapped out problem solved. But now when I turn the head lights on the dash doesnt light up ..well it never did before. So I swapped out all the bulbs and housing except the blinker ones cause I knew they worked now when I was swaping out the bulbs I was unplugging the cluster harness to test the bulb one by one and I noticed the wiper lite up but now when I pull the head lights the left blinker on the dash lights up only ...so comments I would like to know thoughts before I take the dash apart again and buy a new cluster

you are sure the dimmer switch is set for full brightness? You didnt miss any connections when reassembling?

Are you referring to the hi beam switch on the floor. When I press it the blue light comes on the dash and the high beams come on . or are you referring to the actual head light switch. As for reassembly I only unplugged the speedo cable and the cluster harness . I was trying to avoid taking the dash apart again its a royal pain

I'm not sure how long you have the car, so this may be a stupid question on my part, you do realize by turning the headlight switch left and right you change the brightness of the dash lights and can turn them off completely? The cluster harness has been rechecked for any broken wires or connectors?

Yea I realized what you wrote after I replied and no that doesn't work the harness looks fine but on the female end of the cluster two of the then copper tabs are not like they should .when the harness is not plugged in they stick up
