Im 17 my corvette was passed down to me from my deceased father, its has a 454 engine, needs a new lh fender, interior, paint job, driver door window, so far thats all i know. But im still in high school rite now, and i currently drive a grand am but i want to trade it in to get a gto that i found for cheap, i dont know how long its gonna take to get my corvette fully restored so i was kinda thinking i should get the gto and then start working on my corvette would that be a good idea?

If the grand am is your daily driver then you should keep it for now. Fix the stingray up slowly and when that's complete sell that or the grand am. After you sell one, get the GTO. The GTO will just be a money pit and you won't be able to focus on the stingray. If you have a good job and a lot of time, start now. But keep school as your #1 priority. It's too early to think about getting a car like a GTO.
