Here is my assignment, I need to find the gas mileage of my dream car which is a corvette. Let x be the number of miles driven on 60 gallons of gas. By setting up and solving a prportion involving x, find the value of x for the car that I have chosen. State the type of car, the mileage,a nd show both the set up of the proportion and the steps to solve. Then part two is suppose I was in an airplaine, by choosing the height, find the corresponding distance that you should be able to see the horizon. Include the height and the claculations needed to find the distance. The equation is: D=sqrt(2). Can anyone help me out with these two equations? thanks Deanna

Deanna, something is wrong with your equation D=sqrt(2)
