...pressure gage than it used to be? is higher on the gage than it used to be and I dont know why, my mechanic cant find anything wrong with it but I would like to get it taken care of before i have a huge expence I cant afford thamx for your help

bigdodge is right. the cold thickens the oil. plus it might be old oil holding alot of particles that slow down movement as well.

higher is good low oil pressure is when you have a problem. im guessing it's probly colder there than it was a month ago that will make the pressure go up.

unless its over 90 psi its ok maybe the engine has a little to much oil in it i have a silverado and a suburban both run between 65 and 85 and ive had no problems with it
