front axle area.? It only happens from a stop to around 10 mph, and sound gets higher as you accelerate but goes away after I hit 10-15 mph. It has been doing this for about a week now. No other problems or noises from the truck. I bought the truck brand new in Sept. 2006 and has approx. 33,000 miles on it. There has been no damage to the front end and has been meticulously maintained. Would like to get an idea of what it is before I take it in for work.

I'm not positive but it could be the warning tabs on your brakes. So you may want to get the brakes checked out.

You might want to check your brakes, but it sounds like your front bearings, you could get up there and grease everything and that will buy you a little bit of time but if it is the barrings you will need to have them replaced

jack the hole front of the truck up put jack stands under the truck take both tire off check the brakes first if they look alright grab ahold of the rotor and spin it a few time listen for a grinding sound in the bearings repeat for the other side
