the car ran then i went to go start it and it wont. the engine isnt getting fuel. the fuel pump is making noise and i have changed the fuel filter. what else should i do because it still wont start.

Is it making a humming sond when you turn on key 1/2 way? That's good if so, it means the fuel pump is working. Does it try to start or just the battery goes on? I need more info, I have a 2000 and my starter wire connections were the problem. Don't try this if you don't know what to do because your starter is directly connected to the battery and you do not want to get hit with that!!! But I took a long flathead screwdriver with a NON- conductive handle and touched the starter screws together, That completes the ckt.It also sends sparks everywhere sometimes so nothing flamable and safety glasses are essential. If there is something else besides what I just described, (only battery works, car DOES NOT make sound or try to start and when you turn key 1/2 way, you hear humming sound of fuel pump for a second) Then the problem is something else. No hum= new fuel pump, Battery fades or dies= corroded battery terminals or bad battery ( always disconnect batterys neg terminal 1st or you will become part of the ckt and the current will send ALL the voltage through you. Write me back before you attempt anything, I don't want to give you info with out knowing for sure. GOOD LUCK BRO......Jbanks

If the engine isn't getting any fuel but the pump is working it probably means that you either have a REALLY big hole in your fuel line, but you would have noticed it by now so you could probably rule that out, but i would just look to make sure. Another thing is your injectors or your fuel line could be clogged.
