i have a 1997 chevy cavalier can any one help?

My fuel gage would say that i have a quarter tank of gas when i park it. when i go to drive again my tank is empty. I tried one time not to fill up right away just to see if it was just my gage but i did run out of gas!! There is no sign of any leakage around my vehicle... can any one help???

Try a locking gas cap,

There's a float sensor in your gas tank, and it's probably sticking at around a quarter of a tank. It would need to be replaced.
