RPMs while steady throttle is given? The car has 136,600 miles on it and recently Iv been having a few problems. Well I had to water pump replaced and thats all working fine but now the motor is running rough.
When I step on the throttle, the RPM's are going alot higher then they used to and the gas petal seems alot stiffer. The RPM's go about 2000 or more higher than they did when I first got the car.
Someone suggested that I may have gotten dirt in my fuel tank...
Someone else suggested that my fuel pump is going, because to add to this problem, the car is often hard to start when it hasnt ran for a while. I usually have to pump the gas (to rebuild fuel pressure) then it fires after a few cranks.
We just recently replaced the spark plug wires and EGR and it still runs bad with a little bit of a miss.
You can barely hear it missing, but there is deffinatly a miss.
Being 17 years old, I dont have the money to just start replacing everything that might not even be the problem.
