sooner or later ill be looking for a new car and the chevy cruze seems to be a nice first new car. I could probably get a pretty good deal for one since my step dad works for a chevy dealership.

I DO NOT WANT ANY ANSWERS SAYING "BUY A FORD" OR "SCREW GM"

I'd say the Cruze is slightly below average because of the lack of room in the back seats. I'm 5'10" and can barely fit my legs behind the driver or passenger seat. Try it out for yourself. Go to the Chevy dealer and adjust the Cruze's driver seat until you're comfortable. Then sit in the back seat behind the driver seat. You'll notice really quick that the Cruze has the worst rear seat leg room of any sedan on the road. This and the crummy engine options forced me to look elswhere for a compact car.

I have the Korean Daewoo version of the Chevy Cruze LT Diesel auto 150 bhp. the leading UK Consumer magazine WHICH ? only rates this car 4/10 which will lead to poor resale value. The Euro versions do not have the more sophisticated Watts Z link suspension or better spec. of US models. Consequently the ride is very poor jiggly on rough UK roads, on the other hand the roadholding is excellent . other bad features I find are the very badly designed instruments which are very difficult to read when travelling fast or when wearing sunglasses., very poor quality plastic the useless auto light system & useles rain activated windscreen wipers.. I miss all the excellent features found on my previous Dodge Caliber SXT, Well designed instruments with central placed speedo ,black markings on a white background, Euro Cruze has only 6 airbags, No tire pressure monitor, no compass , No drivers vanity mirror, No cool drinks locker , No independant trip & distance mileometers both tied to a silly Menu system . However the Cruze holds the road & drives better than the Caliber.

I would rate it 9/10 has this car is totally power packed car with amazing look and one more thing the new cruze which will be launched in 2012 has some amazing features.

There are special features which are

1)Quick Thinking LAN Bus - 500kbps a Microprocessor Chip-Set which connects to the Engine and Whole vehicle with fast performance and with a Safety Actions

2)Cruise Control - Controls the speed which can be set and maintain the speed in constant way and even no need to keep your leg on the accelerator.

3)Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS) - Key-less entry with Key-less Start without any key just keeping the remote control with maintaining 1M, With a simple touch on Door handle and opens center locking, A small button appears on the left-side of the steering which Start/Stop the engine without any key a simple touch makes it more convenient to the people.

4)Emergency Exit - In the case of sudden lockup of the doors there is an emergency exit behind the rear seat which can be opened after folding the rear seat.
I got this information form CarDekho.

I purchased a Cruze last year. I like the car but.......
I know there always is one isn't there. I just turned 36,800 miles, So warranty ran out and it needs a new motor and turbo. Seems like the GM I grew up with in Flint, lasts long enough to get out of warranty and need a major repair. I have a chrysler with 246,000 miles on it maybe you should look at the 300. I am very disappointed in Chevy (again).

the motor is covered for 5 years 100,000 miles, whats the full story?
