First of all GM engineers have decided not to give u an access hole to run ur cord through To the grill to plug it in.
I found a way to do this without drilling holes or dissembling anything.
I have pics on how to do this but don't know how to post them. If somebody could inform me on the process, I would be happy to share them. Unless I figure it out myself. Lol Way easier with pics.
Open hood.
Look directly under the the top of the rad support.
There is a rubber flap there. Along where the hood latch ect is located.
The block heater cord is coiled up on the passenger side or the car Un coil it.
Use a piece of thin or mechanics wire.
Tie it around the male end of the cord n guide the mechanics wire through the rubber flap to the outside of the grill.
Start by guiding the male end o the cord through the rubber flap with ur fingers, to make sure it is straight.
Fish n wiggle it through while gentlely pulling the mechanics wire until the block heater male plug is at the grill.
Be gentle maneuvering the block heater end through the space in the grill.
Once u get it through the grill ur pretty much done.
Now tie down the cord n zip tie to finish the job.
Block heater only operates at -18 C
Done!
Mods. If this post is in the incorrect section, plz move.
