how to replace rocker panels from a 2002 chevy silverado?

i was wondring how do you replace the rocker panels form a 2002 chevy silverado ls 5.3 v8 ext cab they have rust and i was wondering how do you replace them also how whats better mafacured or aftermarket rocker panels? also how much and whats better doing it my self or taking it to a auto body shop? also can i fix the rust thanks
