How much would you pay for this Chevy Avalanche?

2003 avalanche 1500 with 60,000 miles. 22 inch rims. tinted windows. sound system. custom exhaust system. Z71 package. No leather seats. The back bumper is cracked and costs around 600 for a new one. Kbb has it priced around $14,000 for private party sale in excellent condition. The owner is asking for $15,700. Is $13,000 too low to ask for?

Bring a printout on the KBB and point out the bumper. If they don't take $13k, walk! Adding extras is owner's taste and the books don't give extra value.

You could offer him 13k. He might say no and he might say yes. You can wheel and deal but sound firm, not like "ahh I was thinking it was only worth around 13." If KBB has it priced for that for the condition it's in, it is probably a good price. A good idea is to print the paper out and show it to the owner. Try looking up the N.A.D.A. value also.
