it depends on your state and how many extra taxes are on the plate.
we have a 2005 malibu maxx lt V6, just renewed the license tabs last week and it was $100.00. that's in the seattle area of Washington State, $48.00 was a tax for rapid transit.
hopefully your area is much less.
you may need to check with your local DMV.
