I recently bought a 1970 C10 stepside pickup for $4000 the seller told us it was a 327 smallblock V8 now when i ran the numbers on the truck i found that it wasn't the original motor the truck came with a 250 smallblock V6 so i ran the numbers on the motor and found that it was a original 327 out of a 1967 corvette now is the motor worth more than the truck or do i just have bragging rights. and if it is worth more than the truck should i switch it with an original 250 and sell the 327 which would possibly pay for the project and give me better gas mileage (which i wasnt looking for in the first place). also how much is an original steering wheel worth just curious because i seem to have picked that up too. but im not selling the steering wheel its pretty comfortable.

It's only worth money to the right person. ie: someone with a 1967 Corvette. ($3000)

Otherwise, $300.

I'd hang on to the 327. The original engine was an inline 250, Chevy didn't run any V6's in 1970. Although the 250 is a reliable engine, it also runs slower'n molasses in January. Out of the car, the Corvette engine isn't worth all that much to make taking it out of your truck worth it.

like mr knowitall said its only worth good money to someone who needs it for the corvette . . . with that said I have a 67 327 motor sitting in my shed that was given to me for free. not to say the motor is worthless but unfortunately you didn't exactly hit a gold mine. same with the steering wheel.

if the motor is good about $300 to $500 dollars
