how do you unlock the steering collum of a camaro?

we changed the tires on my camaro yesterday it hasnt been running so its been sittin outside.. well the battery died cuz we left the key on. we ended up pushin it back so it was closer tot he garage well now the steering collum is locked.. how do i unlock it

if peat is wrong you could just take the locking pin out with a dermal tool or drill but then it will never lock again

If you took the key out with the tires at an odd angle, they may be putting pressure on the lock mechanism in the column. Try turning the wheel left or right as you turn the key forward.
