On my dads 01 Suburban you hit the dome override button 4 times, but the same method doesnt work for my rig. Is there a way i could do it without cutting/splicing wires and adding switches?

you very well may be able to find that in the owners man. or you could try asking the dealer. my wifes s-10 turns off with the override buttom to and my 03 silverado doesn't. i have yet to figure out how to turn them off exept to turn on the parking lights. you may be able to cover up the light senser on the dash to confuse the senser to make it think it's night time, and then turn off the auto headlights by turning the switch all the way to the left if you have that set up. the only other thing you can probobly do is to pull the drl fuse. that fuse should be in the fuse box under the hood, and should be marked DRL. good luck.

i have a 2001 jimmy with the dome override button. i also had a 99 blazer that wouldnt work with the button. try this: engage your ebrake 1 click and then turn off your ignition. when you turn it back on the daytime running lights will be off.
