How come the idea of a big engine corvette sounds better then it really is?

They do not drive good compared to import cars of similar performance like mercedes, asian imports like supras,3000gt, nissan gt r, ferrari etc.

The idea of never revving and cruising around at low rpm sucks and all that torque sucks because it does not equal speed just allows bigger gears.
I drive a v8 with a 700r4 that cruises at 1100rpm and i hate it and i don't like the torque without being able to rev it over 6000rpm. I guess I would buy a nissan gt r or infinti, acura, lexus instead just for the handeling any other v6 or v8 car because I hate it. I owned a 3000gt and it corners better then a vette I dont see whats good about it besides gas mileage and lack of fun kills it.
Its fast like nascar right?

When are you going to install 3.73 gears in your car. A high torque motor is better on the street than a screamer any day.

Read your second sentence back to yourself ten times. If your third sentence was true why did Mitsubishi stop making it ten years ago? The horsepower, torque and RPM red-line isn't close to the weakest (435 hp) Corvette engines!

It couldn't be compared to any of the NASCAR classes of cars! It would get run-over and that's a fact.
