...Silverado Crew cab? (it's got buckets? I'm a volunteer fireman, and need to mount my siren somewhere inside my pickup. This siren is about 2" tall, 6" wide, and about 8 inches deep. It fits inside my middle console department (between the seats). I'm not sure how to wire it to my battery, and then on to my speaker which will be mounted under the hood somewhere. Has anyone tried to do this? If so, how did you get the wiring in that console?

It's pretty easy to pull out the center console storage compartment. Remove the screws that hold the lid to the hinge, then pull out the screws around the top of the storage compartment. There are probably more screws at the bottom of the compartment, possibly under a removable panel. Once all the screws are removed, pull out the storage compartment. Then drill a hole in the front and fish your wiring through. Run the wiring under the cupholders to the front of the center console area. You can also remove the cupholder panel, if necessary.
