Help with Chevy Malibu 2000, wont start?

i bought Chevy Malibu 2000 3 days ago from a dealer, it have 142,000 mile on it, i notice from the day i bought it the temperature gage is always above the mid line, though it was runny smoothly (smell hot at times). today, it refuse to start after i drove for about 40min. considering i live in MA and we have lemon law, should i try to fix the car or just return it and be refunded. I have a month warranty on it

Most likely the fuel pump, withthat many miles on the car.To check,remove air filter and spray some starting fluid into air intake,then turn engine over.If it runs then shuts off right away,then it,s the fuel pump or clogged fuel filter,if engine does not fire then it,s something else.But with that many miles on most likely fuel pump,and if you still have warranty best use it cause replacing fuel pump runs about $800.
