I own a 2008 Cobalt LT which I purchased in October of 2009. In about November of 2010, whenever it would rain, water would leak into the passenger side floor area. On the inside, the leak originates where the bottom of the glove box meets the door.
My dad is a mechanic and since I am a full time student trying to save money, I had him check it out rather than taking it in. We brought it to the car wash and while I hosed down the car, my dad sat inside trying to see where exactly the leak was originating. We came to the conclusion that the windshield was leaking, and he resealed it for me. Unfortunately, this has not solved the problem. My dad also checked the hose that runs from my sunroof down to my wheel well area to be sure it's not clogged, and it is in good shape, so we know that isn't the problem either.
If ANYONE has any idea what could be going on, or if you have had a similar problem and gotten it fixed, I would greatly appreciate any help I can get! Thanks so much!
