HELP! I McFu*ked Up!

I was trying to save a few bucks (more then a few) and put in a Secure Idle Unit myself in my 01 Suburban and needless to say I'm not a professional. So right now I'm trying to piece it back together and I almost have it together but when I turn my key and start my vehicle my gas gauge does not work, nor does my wipers and my gear selection indicator does not stay on when running. (it does show when the key is in the accessory position.

note* I did remove the wire connector below the key and a bare wire did touch a cast metal piece causing a spark.

It's amazing that their instructions dont say Disconnect The Battery FIRST! Have you checked all the fuses in the various fuse boxes in the vehicle. Below is the owners manual to help you locate the correct fuses.

I thought I did but today I'm going to take a good in depth look through both boxes

Sounds like you either popped a fuse or cut a wire that you shouldn't have. You need to go back over all of your connections and make sure you got the right one in the right place.
