I have a 2000 chevy malibu ls 3100 v6 I finally got around to changing the oring pn 24504709 and it is still leaking at the heater inlet pipe goes into the back of the thermo housing/ Intake manifold. I only ran the car one time for about 15 minutes idling in the driveway. When the car was warmed up it seemed to slow down. When the car cooled there is a steady drip. does anyone know if this is this normal for a few hot cold cycles? Would it make sense for Chevy to give a tolerance like that. I read another replaced and still leaked but he never returned to the forum I was on where he posted, lead me to believe the issue resolved for him. I really dont want to go back in there, the 13mm bolt holding the pipe to the motor was a pita to get too, only to find that it takes a few cycles for a new oring to seat properly. Any advice from someone who knows GMs better than me is appreciated.
