I have a 98 z24 cavalier with the 2.4L twin cam and a 5 spd manual do they make a transmission fluid that helps with the grind
 
no transmission fluid is going to correct a damaged synchro but if you dont know when the fluid was changed and you have more than 50,000 miles on it, I would change it.
