Glove box

The latch for my glove box broke, is there a way to get into it without prying it open with a screw driver. i don't want to break the box

found this on another site, appears to be a common problem

1.Pull the chrome strip.
2. Remove the bolts holding the bottom dash.
3. Pull bottom dash down slightly, you can see the "u" shaped bar the the latch "latches" on.
4. Remove the two small bolts holding the "U" bar using an end wrench and patience.
5. Glove glove box will drop open.
