getting chevy impala codes without scanner?

is there a way to trip the computer off (grounding it) to get trouble codes
it's a 2000 impala

if its later than 1995 no codes can't be done without scanner which is obd2 obd1 you can get codes by flashing

NOPE! You have to have a scanner on 2000's.

Only 1995 and older can be done without one.
