Well I go to boot camp this weekend come back in sept then go back for more training wont be done till around Dec. But my dad wants to sell me his car which I was interested in

He paid around $9500 and put about $1000 into the car so far. He still owes around 9k on it and he said if I want it that he will switch the loan over to me in my name and keep making payments till Im able to drive it in Dec. but wont till Spring of next year since here in MN we store it in the winter. I'd like to have a guy out there in Cali. It would be my 1st car also. I might get deployed my Spring though so its another down side lol.
Also I'll start making payments after training.
