Buying a '99 Suburban that's been sitting with half a tank of gas for 4 years. It will start but not keep running - not very surprising, if the fuel has destabilized. Will adding stabilizer make the gas usable again? If not, how can I siphon the old gas out so I can put new gas in? There seems to be an anti-siphon feature in the feed pipe to the gas tank.

Any and all suggestions would be most appreciated!

The gas will not be usable, you have to disconnect the line at the tank .
Hope you are not buying a bigger problem than just old gas.

Thanks, Zora. I appreciate the information. Wish me luck!
