Ford F150 Chevy Silverado?!?

Hey i need some help (and not from people who will bash on one truck just because there a chevy man or ford man) Im looking for real facts.

I want a ford f150 or a silverado, but i first want to know which one is best over all
power
toughness
reliability
all that good stuff

i would also get a 2004 + model

Consumers Reports (April 2009) lists the Silverado (00-02) as being good buys.
While recommending the Ford F-150 for those years, as well as the 06 V-8 model.
The reliability rating for the years you are thinking about for the Chevy are worse then average.
While for the Ford they are better then average.
Problem areas for the Chevy (04+) are- the drive train, transmission, suspension, body integrity and audio system.
But if you jump up to the 07 model the Silverado improves. But is it only because it is not as old (and will have problems like the older years as it ages) or has quality improved.

Any and all car magazines and tv shows that tested and compared these cars all said that the Chevy Silverado is the best truck.

Chevy commercials always mention the awards they get by car magazines or J.D. Power Associates.

As in power, toughness, reliability, these trucks are basically the same. You will never notice a difference. The Chevy is better, but the difference is still very small and not noticeable.
