Well I wrote this all out once before and it got lost in cyberspace somewhere. So if it is posted twice, remember I’m the village idiot. So I have an 07 Chevy Silverado classic HD 2500. One day the air conditioner fans stopped working. So we poked around in there a little bit. And I decided to use that Googlely thing. And I soon found information about a blower motor resistor. About 9 million places. So I went to that “vast rainforest”, I got a blower motor resistor. I installed it and then the fans would not shut off. So you had to pull the fuse under the hood. So I had to take a ride down to AC a couple months ago it was still warm so I put the fan back in turn the AC on. It ran for about an hour and then it cut off on the way home. OK? So I looked around and tried to figure out a diagnostic procedure for the resistor that I had and it only had three terminals rather than seven or eight on everybody else’s. So I never did get any definitive answer of how to test it so I said well maybe it’s bad right out of the box. You know because I have to buy the cheapest one they sell right? I got to get away from that. But anyway I ordered another one put the old one in the box and it back. Plugged it in it worked perfectly. Now at the same time I was dealing with the LED hyper flash issue on the blinkers. So I found out if I got a LM 487 relay and installed it that would make them blank properly. Bank oh yeah that works fine. Except when they’re not blinking they never stop clicking. And the rate of the clicking is in direct proportion to the speed level of the air conditioner fan. Low speed flex slower high-speed it clicks faster. It’s gonna make me insane looking at the dash wondering why I didn’t shut the blinkers off. So I’ve searched for my problem and I cannot find anything that ties the two of them together. I’ve seen anecdotal evidence about a ground problem or a turn signal stalk issue. But nobody has the problem where it clicks in direct relationship to the fan motor. Please….. I’m teetering on the edge now this things gonna make me crazy (er)? somebody in this country has had this happen to them. I’m not can’t be the only one. But it could be. I’m leaning towards buying the cheapest LM 487 port that I could buy while Jeff was up in the rocket ship. And his people sent me another bad switch like the resistor. So I don’t know if that’s my guess does anybody have an answer. Or how to diagnose it? Thanks in advance for any help
