Hi I've got a 91 1/2 tone Chevy suburban I'm looking to fix up. So I need a good source for parts interior and suspension any advise would be Greatly appreciated.

Thanx
Tory

For the interior, have you checked www.gmpartsdirect.com to see what is still available?
On the suspension are you looking for stock replacement parts, any auto parts chain can get them, or are you trying to do something else?

And don't forget the junkyard! Yards that let you pick you own parts can be gold mines for interior parts. Especially parts that are no longer sold like the headliner console, tailgate interior and front console.

BTW..LMC truck is good, but they NEVER have ANYTHING on sale. Use their catalogs to see what's what and what things are worth, then hit the yards or other places that have deals. You can always end up at LMC. Don't get me wrong, I like LMC, but the fact that you NEVER get a good deal is REALLY frustrating. If they had somde, I probably would get ALL my parts there.

Im lookin to replace all the interior, iv been watchin craigs and checkin all of the junk yards and scrap yards not much lol. And im lookin to lift it 4 to 6 inches maby a 35 max tire size

Hey countryboy. I also just bought a 91 burban. Just got historic tags for it yesterday, and finished replacing the exhaust from the catalytic converter on back.

Luckily, my interior is in beautiful shape for a 22 y/o truck. I do need to get the seatbelts. I'm guessing someone put in racing harness style belts, then removed them before selling to the prior owner. Other than that, and the normal vinyl dash peeling, the interior looks like a 2 year old car.

I bought it with a 4 to 6" lift (im leaning on 6", because she is TALL), and brand new 35" BFG KM2 mud terrain tires. It totally changes the truck from 'soccer mom-mobile' to a 'mud beast', especially if you have rear positraction (factory limited slip). Just be aware, that you will probably need some kind of side steps with a 4 or 6" lift and 35's. It's not all that easy for me to get into and I'm 6' tall. My 5' 9" fiancee actually needs help getting into it, lol, so steps are going to be my first addition.

Good luck at the junkyards. Obama's cash for junkers program crushed a lot of great resources

Check out the headliner redo post for that - it's and easy fix. If you are reworking everything, get carpet at LMC, try all other parts in the Junkyard first, then check parting -out/donor cars, then LMC again. Like I said before, some of the parts are no longer sold, so if you want to do a stock replacement, you have to get it from another vehicle. My ride is restored to stock original, and you can check out PIX here:
