I've got a 1989 Silveraldo with the factory 5.0L 305, which is on its last leg. I also have a 1992 Chevy G-20 van with a 5.7L 350 that runs great. My question is, if I were to put the 5.7L 350 into the Silveraldo; would I have to swap the computer also? They both have the 700 R-4 tranny.
