Engine life of the chevy Cobalt?

i am 14 and i see that a chevy cobalt with 100K miles is worth ABOUT $3.5K. i am worried because i am affraid i will only get 20 thousand miles out of it. i know the cobalt replaced the Cavalier and my mothers only got about 120K.

what will the mileage be about when the engine dies?

Engines DON'T have expiration dates.

People ask crap like this on a daily basis, and it blows my mind.

It's just a machine. As long as the owner maintains it well, it will last as long as you want.

I have two cars over 300,000 miles, running great. It's not that hard.

Your mother's car only got 120k, because she failed the car somehow. The car did not fail her.

If you want it, get it. Just do a good job of servicing/maintaining it, and it will last longer than you want it to, lol.
