I've a 2010 Chevy Cobalt LT/2.2L. CEL came on 2-3 weeks ago. (3 days after dealer replaced fuel filter & trans flush) Constant 1 week, then intermittent. Codes P0010 (intake actuator solenoid), & P0326/27 (knock sensors).

Hubby replaced intake solenoid, CEL cleared after 3 starts, then came back on, intermittently. (CEL back on constant after dealer cleared codes 2 days ago). Pulled codes again: POO10 again and P0013 (exhaust actuator solenoid) & PO326/27 (knock sensors).

Since the POO10 pulled again, does that mean the fix didn't work or could it be something else like camshaft position sensor?

What is my next best bet: replace exhaust solenoid or sensor or even knock sensors or other route? Should I first test their ohms and check for wiring/corrosion issues? How do I check for that and can sensor ohms and knock sensors be tested? Anyone have a link?

I called the dealer and they couldn't give me advice.

Last time i had oil change (and first since i bought car used last oct), the mechanic said i have sludge/dirty oil. i wonder if that is preventing a good flow of oil to connectors for actuators or whatnot. Would that be corrosion and how to fix?

Finally, sort of a ticking or clicking sound is coming from my driver door area when I drive. (since dealer cleared codes & programmed my key fob 2 days ago). Would a timing chain issue present that way and could timing chain throw the above 4 codes?

On the P0010 and P0013 codes
1. What viscoisty oil was put in the engine?
2. Check the resistance of the solenoids, should be 8 to 12 ohms.
3. Try a sludge cleaning product like Seafoam.
4. Check the wire harness going to the solenoids.
On the P0326 follow the suggestions on this link
http://www.obd-codes.com/p0326

The timing chain is on the passenger side of the car and you would hear the noise on that side if the tensioner or chain were bad.

Thank you for the great help! Are the 4 codes related meaning possibly 1 fix for all or is it more likely I have 2 separate issues (intake actuator solenoid and knock sensor)?

Also is it plausible the dealer messed up when they replaced my fuel filter...and there are air pockets causing less combustion and then throwing these codes?
the dealer highly doubts it and says if diagnostics disproved that, I'd still have to pay for them.

Finally, is this under a 5 year 100k mile warranty?

Thank you much!

the solenoid issues could be related to each other but the knock sensor is separate
the fuel system is self purging there is no air and it would have nothing to do with your codes.
The 5 year 100k covers major engine components not sensors

So the warranty wouldn't cover diagnostics or repair for any of these codes?

Also, since 2 unrelated code families pulled, I definitely have 2 separate issues right? Or could one code be pulling 'on accident'?

Finally, are their 2 knock sensors? And do you have any instructions/links/videos detailing where the knock sensors are on a chevy cobalt and how to replace them? would it be similar to a chevy truck--i found a video for that. Thank you!

Powertrain is the only thing covered after 3 years 36,000 miles and codes are not part of that.
Those are two different groups of issues
One knock sensor if the video is for a 2.2 should be the same.
