Door deactivate switch?

Having some battery drain problems on the 03 suburban. Seems to be a common thing.
I want to pull fuses from the inside fuse panel and I want to make the vehicle think the door is closed. Also, I cant get to the inside fuses with the door closed.
How can I trick the computer into thinking the door is closed? Hope this makes sense?

on older cars you could insert a screw driver into the door lock mechanism and move it the same way the striker on the body would when closing. You then would release it by pulling on the inside or outside door handle

Thanks for the tip. Gonna have to try this soon. I'm almost tempted to take it in to the dealer and let them tell me what's wrong with it.
