Does anyone know how to bypass the theftlock on a 2005 chevy impala?

I'm about to put a CD player stereo in my 2005 chevy impala.I don't want to pay the dealer to do it because its so expensive. Does anyone know the theft lock bypass procedure?

It's not necessary to bypass the Theftlock system. That only becomes an issue when it's time to put the factory radio back in; and in any case, your radio can recognize the vehicle through the data bus system, so it won't be a problem unless you try to put the factory radio into a different car.

If you remove the stock radio, you'll lose all audible vehicle warning chimes unless you use an adapter module (or a radio relocation harness) to keep them working.
