difference in the chevy suburban Z71 colors?

My family has a 2004 Chevy Z71 Suburban and the Z is gold, the other day we saw another Chevy Z71 and the Z was red, what does this mean? I'm talking about the logo next to the doors, some are different colors.. what is the difference?

Perhaps the color of the Z next to the door changed according to the year of the automobile.

Im guessing with some z71's, the logo is the color of the paint of the car, and on others its the standard red z71 logo.

Z71 is suspension package, not color. You order whatever color you want.
