Hi All, first time user and first post. Was at a classic car show over the weekend. Semi overheard a conversation regarding disk brake conversions on a 65 Malibu SS. One gentlemen was complaining about pedal lag. The other gentlemen was telling him about a spring/booster component placed on the rear calipers themselves which kept pressure on the caliper thus decreasing the amount of pedal and lag time before brakes engaged. Does anyone have an idea what this is exactly, how it works and wher this kit can be purchased? Sorry to be so vague but I was kind of in a conversation with someone else and eve's dropping at the same time. Could not find either person when I finally got free.

if you have pedal lag the problem is quite often caused by too much clearnce between the booster push rod and the piston in the back of the master. Never heard of what you are referring to on the back calipers. In a disk brake set up the pads should always be touching the rotor.
