So for my first car, I'm looking at either a Silverado or a Ram. First question - How reliable are they? Which is more reliable? Second - All the trucks I've found have high mileages on them. How far can these go before having problems? And finally - The highest I want to spend is about $11,000. The Rams seem to be much cheaper. Does this mean they're a piece of crap?

test drive them

personally id go with the silverado
when i had a 350 in it(original engine got a 502 now) it was pretty fast
you could def. spin the tires and def get thrown back...and i have alot of extra weight on the truck

Personally I would go with a Silverado though my opinion would be biased since I own one.

Chevy Silverado.
Best truck of the year almost every year according to most car magazines.

I would get the Ram. It looks agressive and the silverado looks big and boxy. I would get neither though. I would get the f-150. There is a reason why it has been the BEST-SELLING TRUCK FOR OVER THIRTY YEARS!

Either one --- they're built in this country.

BUY AMERICAN!!

Dodges are usually a little cheaper, but that doesn't mean they're not a good buy.

most trucks last over 200,000 miles my dad bought a 1984 chevy sliverado brand new back in 1984 and it still runs today everything original engine and transmission and it has 250,000 miles on it so if they make chevy trucks as tough as they did back then i would go with the chevy

high miles? you should look around better. my dad just bought an 04 Ram Sport edition that had a tad over 50,000 miles on it for $12k. look around on cars.com, autotrader.com, craigslist.com, vehix.com...thats all the sites i can think of right now. just look around and dont jump into anything because you like it.

i would go with Ram. my dad's previous ram went over 200k miles. they seem more reliable and look meaner. more like a mans truck. the silverado looks like a truck a women would drive. go with ram.

the reason the dodges are cheaper is because they have the worst resale value of anything thats y equale trucks of the same year the dodge is always cheaper

DODGE BLOWS
