I want to make a silverado go fast cause i have seen one turbocharged wondering does it have to be single cab can it be ext cab and does it have to be a specific yr? let me know please

Depend on the year and engine size.... if its fuel injected buy a stage chip for it (hypertech.com)if its Carb. buy bigger cam and heads, and Carb + headers. if its 305 junk the motor... 350 or more.. add a stall converter to trany ( atleast 2400 rpm, no higher than 3500) to add tork off the line and hold engine strenght through all gears,,, for fast take off make rear gear 373 or higher 411..... for max top speed make gear 273 or lower 242.. doesnt really matter the size off the truck or its make.. its whats under the hood and chasis! Turbo is big bucs.. much cheaper to go with Nitros.. but pistons must be forged.. and chevy dont come factory with forged pistons :( but you could still get away a 100 shot of nitro without the forged pistons :)

Power to weight ratio, and a transmission. Depending on what kind of fast you want. A good race truck would be short bed, single cab and a large V8. So if you wanted a Chevy 1500 to go fast, do something like this:

454 V8
Single cab
Short box

K? And gear ratio depends on what driving you want to do with it. Higher gear ratio means it's got more acceleration, lower means more top speed.

Lots more than just that, those are the basics.
