I have a 2001 Chevy Malibu. When I try to start it, it will sputter and sometimes die or sometimes recover. It will also just die completely while I am driving and I have to pull over and try and start it again, sometimes taking 2-3 times to start. I recently had the fuel pump replaced and put a new fuel filter in it. Also a little under a year ago we had a new ignition switch, new engine oil pressure switch and had to do the intake manifold. (I don't think the manifold would affect it but adding that detail just in case.) I was told by someone that it could be the security system because I have a after-market stereo and that the security system ran through the old RSDS radio. One thing that I have found while searching online is that most people with this similar problem say that there Anti-Theft light flashes, mine does not. The only time I see the Anti-Theft light it right after turning the key when all the other dashboards lights are on. Does anyone know anything about this problem or how to fix it? I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to figure this out and am getting sick of it, any help would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to contact me via email or messenger if you can help.
